Farmers Bank will close at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 24th and remain closed all day Wednesday, Dec. 25th in observance of Christmas. Online and Mobile Banking will still be available. Normal hours will resume on Thursday, Dec. 26th.

Sydney Roskens, New Commercial Lender Trainee

Farmers Trust and Savings Bank is pleased to announce Sydney Roskens has moved into her new role as a Commercial Lender Trainee.  Sydney has been an integral part of the Farmers Bank team for 2+ years, consistently demonstrating dedication, professionalism, and a strong commitment to customer service. In her previous role as a Personal Banker, Sydney built a reputation for understanding customer’s unique financial goals and provided tailored solutions to help customers achieve them.

Roskens expressed her excitement about the transition, stating, "I am excited about this new adventure and to expand my knowledge into different areas of banking. With this new position, I am eager to continue helping our local customers and businesses grow”.

The Commercial Lender Trainee program at Farmers Bank is designed to provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience in all aspects of commercial lending. Under the mentorship of seasoned professionals, Sydney will undergo an immersive learning journey, gaining insights into financial analysis, risk assessment, relationship management, and the intricacies of structuring deals tailored to customers' needs.

Sydney was born and raised in Webb, IA. She attended Sioux Central High School and received her Bachelor’s in Business Economics from SDSU in Brookings, SD and her Master’s in Banking and Financial Services from NSU in Aberdeen, SD. She enjoys cooking/baking, jeeping, and spending time with her husband and 2 dogs.
