Report Fraudulent Activity

In recent times, the prevalence of scams and fraudulent activity has become a significant concern, posing threats to individuals and their personal security. If you suspect any fraudulent behavior or have concerns regarding potential fraud, we encourage you to report it immediately. 


Compromised Card

Do you suspect your card has been lost or stolen, or have you noticed any unauthorized charges on your card? 

  • Toggle your card On and Off in the Farmers Bank mobile app to prevent any further unwanted debit card charges from clearing your account

  • Monitor Online banking for any unusual activity:

  • Contact the bank as soon as you see an unauthorized charge


  Account Compromise

  • Monitor Online banking for any unusual activity

  • Contact the bank as soon as you see an unauthorized charge

  • Change password on online banking

  • Check credit report for any unauthorized inquiries 


Identity Theft
  • Report to Bank
    • Always use trusted sources to find contact information, like:
      • farmerstrust.bank, app, statement, number on the back of your Farmers Bank debit card
        • The bank will tell you information, not ask!
  • Call SSA Office to place an alert
  • Place a credit freeze or fraud alert on your credit report
    • Attach chart showing differences:
    • Note: Fraud alerts only require contacting one credit bureau while a credit freeze requires contacting all three

      • Equifax.com/personal/credit-report-services 1-800-685-1111
  • Report identity theft to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) at IdentityTheft.gov or call 1-877-438-4338 to report identity theft and create a personal recovery plan
    • Make sure to share as many details as possible
  • Obtain your free credit reports by going to annualcreditreport.com or call 1-877-322-8228.
    • Review your credit reports and note any accounts or transactions you don’t recognize. Also look for any inquiries from companies you haven’t contacted and verify that all your personal information is correct.
